The AI agent is the assistant inside the page builder. It works with the same live preview you see on the canvas: it understands what’s on your page and can apply edits for you when you ask in everyday language.

What it’s for

Use the agent when you want to change your landing page without hunting through every control—for example: rewrite a headline, add a section, link a button, tweak copy, or adjust layout. You describe the outcome; the agent carries it out on the page.

How it works (at a glance)

  1. It sees your page in context
    The agent doesn’t only read your message—it uses a structured view of your page (sections, key blocks, buttons, forms, etc.) so it knows what exists and what might need changing.

  2. You chat; the preview updates
    When the agent acts, changes are applied to the live preview (the page in the builder). You confirm results visually—what you see is what you’re working toward publishing.

  3. It’s built for iteration
    You can refine in follow-up messages: “make that shorter,” “stronger CTA,” “move that below the testimonial,” and so on. The agent is meant for back-and-forth while you tune the page.

What happens when you first create a page vs. when you use the agent

  • Creating a new page from your prompt uses AI to generate a full first draft (layout, copy, structure) so you’re not starting from scratch.

  • The in-editor agent is for editing and improving that page (or an existing project): same builder, same preview, focused on the changes you request.

What to expect from answers

The agent is designed to act on the page when your intent is clear, and to ask a focused question when something truly can’t be guessed (for example, choosing between two similar buttons). Prefer giving specific references in your messages (“the hero button,” “the form at the bottom”) when you have multiple similar elements.

Limitations worth knowing

  • The agent improves what’s on your Simplepages page; it doesn’t replace your ad platform, CRM, or email tool.

  • Complex or ambiguous requests may need a short clarification so the right part of the page is updated.

  • If something doesn’t look right after a change, undo (when available) and try rephrasing, or adjust details in a follow-up message.
